Vocation Cross

Beginning Sunday, May 11 the Vocation Cross exchange will take place at the 8AM Mass. This change will give the 8 o'clockers an opportunity to be a part of this wonderful, prayerful program. The first exchange will be presented by a school family to another who has volunteered to accept the cross for the week. They are then asked to pray for vocations for priests, deacons, women religious and laity throughout the week. At the 8AM Mass on Sunday, the cross is then handed over to another volunteer family or individual. In order to be successful, we need people to volunteer. A sign up sheet and a Vocation Committee member will be present after the Mass. Pope Benedict spoke often during his recent visit to pray for vocations. Let's do our part!

Religious Education News

Thank you for supporting our School of Religion. Please continue to spread the "Good News" as only you can do.

Congratulations

A most sincere congratulations to our First Holy Communion Calss who became members of the Eucharistic Banquet on Saturday, May 3. Many thanks to our Pastor, Fr. Bob and all the priests, deacons and altar servers who enriched this Liturgy with their many gifts, especially the beautiful music. I thank our dedicated and patient teachers and monitors for their timeless training in making our precious gift of Faith alive in our lives and in the lives of those we meet.

May all continue to celebrate this beautiful Sacrament which increases our Faith, Hope and Love in Jesus who has given Himself to us.

I pray again this prayer for you and your families: "I thank God for you every time I think of you. I pray with joy because of the way in which you have helped me in the work of the Gospel." (Phillippians 1:3-5)

Gratefully in the Lord, Your friend in Christ
Sister Barbara, C.S.J., D.R.E.
